The Alabama D Guard replica is made from Damascus steel forged in north America, with the blade length 17 1/2 by 2 1/4 respectfully, with the overall length of 24 1/2. The handle is made from Zebra-wood, imported from Central America. The box is solidly constructed with finger joints from a combination of imported woods called Black Limba and Nogal, also imported from Africa and South America. It has hidden barrel hinges and can either be displayed on a table or hung on a wall. The backdrop is a patterned red leather sourced from a local leather shop.
